The Coalition hosted a one day conference on November 4 at the Congress Centre, London. This explored what the opportunities and challenges the recent changes in health policy mean for social enterprise.  It provided an overview of the government's vision for the role of social enterprise in transforming health and social care in England.

There were speeches and lively debates addressing practitioners, policy-makers and social enterprises. Speakers included Lord Victor Adebowale, Chief Executive of TurningPoint, a successful social enterprise; David Behan, Director-General of Social Care, Local Government and Care Partnerships; Bob Ricketts, Director of System Management and New Enterprise, Department of Health and Dame Christine Beasley, Chief Nursing Officer.
