Social Enterprise Day happens each year on a Thursday during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Activities for Social Enterprise Day are co-ordinated by Social Enterprise UK. This year, in the run up to Social Enterprise Day, we are asking you to get involved in the Society Profits campaign. Our aim is to put social enterprises and the people who support them at the forefront of promoting a simple message to consumers: ‘Choose Social Enterprise and Society Profits’.

To join the Society Profits campaign please:

  1. Order a campaign pack and promote social enterprise at work or in your, school, college or community group
  2. Download the campaign materials yourself and start championing social enterprise today
  3. Buy from social enterprises
  4. Let us know about your favourite local social enterprises by posting about them on our Facebook wall or tweeting about them using the #societyprofits hashtag

You can also sign our petition to support the future of social enterprise in the UK.

About the Society Profits campaign

What are our goals?

  • More people buy from social enterprise
  • More people are aware of social enterprise
  • More social enterprises identify themselves and promote the social enterprise message
  • More people and organisations engage with the social enterprise movement

The campaign materials are unbranded, are designed to have a long shelf-life, and will not simply be used for Social Enterprise Day. We will be launching versions without dates on them later in the year.

We want as many organisations and people as possible to sign up to support the campaign in advance of the day. We are asking people to support the campaign and show their support for social enterprise.

Social enterprises are businesses that:

  • improve society or the environment
  • Use their profits for good or share them
  • Are often based in the most deprived communities
  • Employ people who find it difficult to get jobs

Who's already supporting this campaign?

As more supporters sign up we'll be adding them to this list.
